2018 is coming to an end and I would like to just sum up the year! It has been a roller-coaster ride ever since I entered Nanyang Junior College. Everything was so new to me. From classroom-based lessons in Secondary school to lecture-tutorial based in JC. From easy Mathematics to some alien language Mathematics (( All the f(x) shit & vectors & curve sketching & differentiation & integration & the list goes on and on... )). From an A1 Physics genius to a S in Physics.
But I would say, 2018 was a fulfilling one! It wasn't just filled with studies but also many memories made throughout my 2018 NY journey AND I really enjoyed every moment.

2018 started with the 1st unforgettable memory that I would always hold close to my heart. ORIENTATION'18

This is the 1st bunch of people I made the moment I step into Nanyang!

MOVING ON! Nanyang organised Friendship Day'18 and the iconic seashell wall had a photo-booth specially decorated for this event. Yehti 3 came together to have a group photo taken and also BPNY!

Yehti 3
BYNY

It was a short event but it made a lasting memory in part of my NY journey!

Next was... FINALLY meeting up with Isabel! It has been a long time ever since I saw her! We went to have lunch at some ulu place where I remember walking for quite long to reach that place LMAO. And it rained when we were leaving wth. How unlucky can we get.

Just look at all the good food!

All the food was so atas and delicious!

Moving on was my 17th birthday! I had many surprises which I didn't expect at all!
First up! Was by Madeline! She bought me really pretty roses and babybreath!

Next was... Yehti 3! Really didn't expect this at all. They actually find time to celebrate my birthday with me during our common break!

And lastly...  was Cheryl, Huien & Ziqing! We celebrated at I Light'18!

What was most memorable was wearing our onesies and walking along Marina Bay!

Thanks y'all for celebrating my 17th birthday with me! Am really grateful and being a constant in my life.

Next up would be Epiphany'18!

Following up would be NYCO ROD'18! We are finally the senior and junior HAHA!

Moving on! This is the 1st event I participated in Nanyang with some of my classmates. VERTICAL CHALLENGE! I climbed like don't know how many flight of stairs and it was so FREAKING tiring. I almost died. But oh well! It was tiring but memorable! Tbh, I wouldn't participate in it again next year lol.

*UPDATE* I really didn't participate in 2019 LMAO!*

Next would be going on cafe hopping with my favourite bunch! It has been a long time ever since I went on cafe hopping! We went to many different ice cream waffle shops and even had Intsagram Live Mukbang HAHA!

Just look at how sweetly looking the ice cream waffle is!

This was no special event but just some bunch that supported me in 1830 throughout my 2018 in NY.

AND LASTLY, this has been an intense PW year and I'm finally done with it! Thanks for sticking by! We survived PW! Let's all get A! Let's get it NY 158!

*UPDATE* WE ALL GOT A!

So this sums up my 2018 and thanks y'all for reading this super duper long post! Truly a life-changing year, new school, new friends, new experiences. I am blessed to enjoy everything I have. I cant wait what's coming for me in 2019! Till next time!

This is gonna be a short post to pin down the 1st CO concert I participated in Nanyang and being a performer in Nanyang Chinese Orchestra (南初华乐) 🎋. Epiphany'18... 忆境

Some sneak preview videos of our performance! Link down below!

🎼 Performance 🎼

It has been a tough process but being able to successfully put up this performance was truly fulfilling! I would say it's a wonderful experience. It made me realised that being in an orchestr means constant motivation to practice and improve and I’m not only accountable to myself and the audience, but to my peers on the stage. It may look easy, but it's challenging to collaborate with many other musicians to make one piece of music sound whole and in tune.

That's all and thanks for reading till the end!

I Light'18 was awesome thanks to this bunch!

We celebrated my 17th birthday at Marina Bay during the I Light Event! This was my 2nd time going to ILight! But this time, it was really special!

Cheryl, Huien & Zi Qing bought onesies for my birthday present! They had theirs too! Cheryl had an owl onesie. Huien had an elephant onesie 🐘, Zi Qing had a cow onesie 🐮 and I had a giraffe onesie 🦒!

But this time... we had an impromptu decision made! We decided to wear our onesie and walk along Marina Bay! HAHA! How stupid and lame can we get!

Some photos we took in our onesies!

Some behind the scenes!

Thanks y'all for celebrating my 17th birthday with me and for another wonderful memory! Grateful for this bunch! Y'all light up my world! 💡  Ah SO CRINGE! I take back my words.

Thanks for reading!

The first few memorable days in Nanyang...

Orientation took place on 2nd February 2018 and had spanned over 9 days & I must say it was a wonderful 9 days spent!

Initially, it was kinda awkward but as time pass, we eventually got closer together & started having some real fun & great time together!

♡ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 1𝓼𝓽 𝓹𝓱𝓸𝓽𝓸 𝓨𝓮𝓱𝓽𝓲 3 𝓽𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓽𝓸𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 ♡

& introducing my OGLs...

♡ 𝓧𝓲𝓷 𝓝𝓲 ♡

♡ 𝓔𝓵𝓽𝓸𝓷 ♡
& not forgetting Erin (Didn't managed to take a photo with her). They definitely made orientation less awkward and so much better!

On the 1st day of orientation, the very 1st friend I made in NY was Sarah. I still remember she sat beside me drinking a packet of milo 🥤. My 1st impression of her was "This girl so cold" LMAO because she didn't really replied me when I initiated a conversation with her.
But after a while, we started depending and sticking with each other for the following 9 days!

♡ 𝓢𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓱 ♡

And for the next few days, we started getting closer with our OG mates and Valene joined our so called "2 people" clique HAHA. 👩🏻x3
We became really close since then!

♡ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓒𝓱𝓲𝓸𝓫𝓾𝓼 ♡

MOVING ON! Well, I didn't know one of Junior College's tradition is to have Orientation Mass Dance 💃! And of course, Nanyang has it's own as well!

♡ 𝓝𝓪𝓷𝔂𝓪𝓷𝓰 𝓞𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓜𝓪𝓼𝓼 𝓓𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮 ♡

And... for the orientation mass dance, we were assigned dance partner according to our height! My dance partner assigned to me was Darren!

Some behind the scenes during the dance practice!

Some other bunch that made orientation so much better!

♡ 𝓙𝓲𝓽𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓰 (𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓵𝓸𝓬𝓴 𝓸𝓯 𝔀𝓸𝓸𝓭) ♡

Some other photos & videos of Yehti 3! 🦍

We played mass game as well too.
And Sarah, Valene & I got featured on the video montage!

Time flew pass & it's already the last day of orientation. We partied the whole night @ NEX. We played burning bridges. We chit-chatted, shared our feeling and thoughts... We came honest with how we felt towards one another.

Thanks for the wonderful 9 days yehti 3! I will miss all the times we spent together...✨

Thanks for reading!
